Advocacy

In addition to coordinating comprehensive services for children and family members, SKIP, Inc. works on advocacy initiatives focused on increasing opportunities for children of incarcerated parents and their families.

SKIP works with its network of social services providers, representatives of government bodies, and other advocates:

• to help implement policies,
• make research-based programming recommendations,
• offer technical assistance and training for partners, and
• raise funds to provide financial support for programs, research, and education.
